Maple End Grain Cutting Boards

Hard "Rock" Maple is the most traditional wood used for cutting boards because it is one of the densest North American Hardwoods. Hard Maple has a white sapwood and when oiled, has a yellowish patina. The heartwood is brown and when mixed with the sapwood, gives an end grain cutting board real character.
